What this site collects, which is very little, and what happens to it.

Last updated: February 1, 2026

This policy explains how Trevor Pope (sole proprietorship) handles information in connection with this website.

The short version: this is a static site publishing written guides. It has no accounts, no analytics profiling, no advertising trackers, and no third-party form processor. The only personal information that reaches Trevor Pope is what you choose to put in an email.

1. No accounts, no tracking

This site does not:

  • offer accounts, logins, or registration of any kind;
  • use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies;
  • run third-party analytics that profile individual visitors;
  • sell, rent, or share personal information with anyone; or
  • build marketing profiles or run any mailing list.

There is nothing to purchase here, so no payment information is ever collected or processed.

2. The contact form

The form on the contact page does not transmit anything to this website or to a third-party form service. It assembles the details you typed into a message and opens your own email application with that message ready to send.

Nothing reaches Trevor Pope unless you then choose to send that email. At that point your message travels through your email provider and the recipient mail provider in the ordinary way.

3. Email correspondence

If you write, the email — including your address, your name if you give it, and whatever you chose to include — is received and stored in an ordinary mailbox.

  • It is used only to read and reply to your message.
  • It is not added to any mailing list.
  • It is not shared with anyone else.
  • Correspondence is deleted within 12 months unless there is an ongoing reason to keep it, and you can ask for it to be deleted sooner.

4. Hosting

This site is served by a third-party hosting provider that records standard technical request data — IP address, timestamp, requested page, and browser user agent — for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. These logs are held by the hosting provider under its own policies and retention schedule, and are not used here to identify or profile individual readers.

5. Children

This site is written for adults configuring devices, and is not directed at children. No information is knowingly collected from children.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have statutory rights to access, correct, or delete personal information held about you, and to object to certain processing. Since the only personal information held here is email correspondence you chose to send, such requests are usually straightforward.

Write to trevor@popemdm.com and your request will be answered within 30 days. No personal information is sold under any applicable privacy law.

7. A note on the guides

Some guides describe device management configurations that collect information — filtering logs, for example, or accountability summaries. That collection would happen on your own systems, under your own control and your own management platform's policies. This site does not receive, host, or have any access to it.

If you deploy something described here, you become responsible for the data it produces: for disclosing it to the people affected, for keeping it secure, and for deleting it when it is no longer needed. The guides argue for exactly that.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the site or to legal requirements. The “last updated” date above will change when it does.
